The Construction Management program provides options for newcomers to the field or experienced professionals seeking additional knowledge. We offer a certificate program and specific modules so you can customize your learning and training experience.

We are now offering it as separate courses to benefit the diversity of professional experience of our students. Students may choose to enroll in any course should they meet the prerequisites for each one.
High school diploma or equivalent, and working knowledge of computers and access to a computer and the internet are required.
Construction Principles & Practices Certificate: $2,499
This foundational program is for individuals desiring to break into the rapidly growing construction field. Those working in AutoCAD, architecture, real estate, construction finance, facility managers, and trades people wanting more knowledge outside their specific trade can benefit. This certificate covers materials, techniques, and methods used in residential and light construction. Foundation, wood frame and masonry structural systems, interior and exterior finishes, residential electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems are included. Residential building code requirements will also be discussed.

Construction Management Courses
The following courses are for experienced professionals seeking additional knowledge or those who have completed our Construction Principles and Practices certificate.
- Construction Graphics: $599
This course will focus on the fundamentals of graphic language used by construction professionals with an emphasis on developing skills in expressing concepts in visual form and in reading architectural and engineering construction documents.
- Construction Cost Estimating & Bid Preparation: $599
Further explore the estimating process with an emphasis on pricing the general contractor’s work, including estimating procedures, development of direct and indirect unit costs, evaluation of subcontractor bids, bidding strategy and bid opening. Students will complete an estimate, bid submission, and develop a schedule of values.
- Construction Scheduling: $599
A study of the management techniques used in controlling time and cost of construction projects, including development of schedules and budgets, organization and presentation of project information, and updating and monitoring progress using critical path methodology are all included in this course. Development of a construction schedule and budget is included. Commonly used commercial software packages are introduced.
- Construction Project Administration: $599
This course covers traditional, design-build and construction management delivery methods, the management of field operations and administration of the construction contracts. Contract documents, project organization, supervision, working with owners and design professionals, procurement and management of subcontractors are also discussed.
