New Course: MCAT Exam Preparation

New Course: MCAT Exam Preparation

We are excited to introduce a new test preparation course — MCAT — which will prepare students in all areas of the exam. The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is developed and administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges. It is required for entrance into medical school programs and assesses your problem solving, critical thinking, and knowledge of natural, behavioral, and social science concepts.

Our course was introduced in response to a need in the community to prepare students for this important exam. Dr. Glen Meades and Dr. Evelina Sterling, members of KSU faculty,  will be among the instructors teaching the course. They will discuss topics including biological and biochemical foundations, chemical and physical foundations, critical analysis and reasoning skills related to social science and humanities, and psychological, social and biological foundations.

A new MCAT feature is the inclusion of more information based on psychology and sociology issues. “Not many MCAT courses offer much information, but our course dedicates time to go over all material,” Andrea Cochran, program director, said. “Our MCAT Exam Preparation course will help students develop learning and test-taking strategies as well as assess and strengthen the main concept areas covered on the exam.”

Six sessions will be held on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. For more information, please visit the course page, give us a call at 470-578-6765, or email us at cehealthcare@kennesaw.edu.
