Culinary Graduate Spotlight: Adam Rosa

Culinary Graduate Spotlight: Adam Rosa

Are you interested in learning the art and science of food and cooking like Adam Rosa? Being of Polish and Italian heritage, Adam says he loves authentic food from Poland and Italy. His culinary inspiration comes from Gordon Ramsay, Antonio Carluccio, Jamie Oliver and Gennaro Contaldo. These inspirations sparked Adam’s action to enroll in our Culinary Apprenticeship program where he learned to transform his skills into a career in the food service industry.

We were able to catch up with Adam and find what he thought of our program and what he’s doing now. Here’s what he had to say:

What attracted you to our Culinary program?
The program offered the chance to apprentice at some of Atlanta’s top restaurants.

Prior to starting the course, what goals did you want to achieve in the program?
My freshman year of high school a show called “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” came on, and I knew I wanted to make a difference through food. Honestly, I really just wanted to learn as much as I could about culinary.

Discuss how you liked the program.
I really enjoyed the program. The fact that it’s based around four apprenticeships is a bonus compared to an all-classroom style course.

Personally, my favorite sites to apprentice at were Endive Fine Catering and Park 75 [at the Four Season Seasons Hotel-Atlanta]. Not many people can say they got to apprentice at the Four Seasons.

What are you doing now in the culinary world?
As of right now, I’m working at Keegan’s Public House in Kennesaw as well as trying to become an ambassador for “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.”

What are your future career goals/aspirations in the industry?
My goals are to help educate people about where their food comes from and spread the word about the Food Revolution, but I also plan on opening my own restaurant hopefully in the next few years.
